Shnat Netzer is a unique 10-month leadership training program for young adults in Israel. This program is an international post high school program for Bogrim (graduates) of the Netzer Olami youth movement from all over the world.
Shnat Netzer helps recent high school graduates develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become leaders in your movement, community and college back home. Shnat Netzer offers participants the chance for personal development, opportunities to study Jewish and Zionist ideals, and provides a structured environment to learn about the Reform Movement’s principles and ideology.
Shnat Netzer is an exciting, challenging and stimulating way to spend a year in Israel.
Core contents of the program:
Academic studies, religious studies, travel, volunteer, professional internships - 4 months living and studying in Jerusalem in one of two frameworks: The Machon for Madrichim from Abroad with other participants from various youth movements or Etgar, an independent living experience with other Netzerniks on the Netzer Olami and WUPJ headquarters at Beit Shmuel.
- Kibbutz Life- volunteer on a one of a kind Reform Kibbutz
- Shnat B'Ir- Live in one of Israel's main cities, such as Tel Aviv, Haifa, or Be'er Sheva, and volunteer in your community in various capacities.
What does it include? Accommodations during the program (we will attempt to provide accommodations during vacation time, but it is not guaranteed), stipends for food, some meals on Kibbutz and seminars, three seminars, tiyulim, and day trips.
